Not much known about this Pete Back bass except that it came in here from Sheffield - Thru neck, Maple fret board and guessing a mahogany body (due to weight), Schaller tuners, Badass bridge, fitted with flatwound strings, looks to have had pickups swapped out for a pair of humbuckers, black pickup surrounds have been removed as they look home made, but will send with the instrument, clean back of neck, good cosmetic condition with only a few chips to the headstock and a chip to lower edge, a bump to the top edge, but many smaller scuffs and marks - good frets and fingerboard, plays and sounds really nice - weighs 4.8Kgs - serial no 680139 but no idea when this was made - will supply a new set of roundwound bass strings to your preferred gauge in case you don't want it with the flatwounds already fitted - Pete Back made 'one off' instruments, usually to order, rather than production runs - any further info offered on this welcomed
